Still the right thing to do is to go in with a strong force of around 10% of our forces and destroy the taliban and hunt down every terrorist that has draw blood of innocent unarmed citizens. The Afghan people do not want to be abused, raped, and murdered by the terrorists. Yes, taliban still operate as terrorists. Don't be fooled, Don't be stupid.
It would be a mistake to send in small inadequate forces, you take disproportionate losses when outnumbered. Go in in strength, Mission 1 Neutralize the taliban threat, the US armed Forces can handle that effectively if you don't try to micromanage it from the state department. 2 Take back Bagram AFB and hold it indefinitely and the embassy. The cost of our presence there is small when you consider the massive amounts of waste in the recently passed bills. I think Joe Biden's arguments are pathetic.
